The Charis Exhibit

Charis: Boundary Crossings, a traveling exhibit

The Brehm Center is excited to sponsor the traveling exhibit Charis: Boundary Crossings, which has now been installed in the lobby of the David Allan Hubbard Library at Fuller's Pasadena Campus and will remain on display through Thursday, December 6, 2012. We invite you to stop by the library to view some of the resulting works. The exhibit in the library represents a part of the entire Charis collection.

Charis, the Greek for "favor" or "grace", but best translated as "goodwill", is an international traveling exhibit of art by Asian and North American artists. Meeting together in 2008, the artists explored the implications of Christian faith and effective artistic practice in a highly visually-oriented world. Charis also represents the artists’ dialogue regarding cross-cultural communication and understanding, and the need for people of faith to address real-world issues of social and economic justice, peace, and reconciliation, and the effects of globalization.
