In Faith, In Hope: Hymns Ancient and Modern

Festival of Worship is an event hosted by Fred Bock Institute of Music, a part of the Brehm Center at Fuller Theological Seminary.

The Festival of Worship was initiated and hosted by the Mark Thallander Foundation.  It currently is under the leadership of the Fred Bock Institute of Music, and co-hosted by the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, CA.  The festival is a unique annual gathering of multiple church choirs who join their voices in a unique multi-denominational worship gathering.  Appropriately, the event is co-hosted by the Cathedral, which has as its theme to be “a house of prayer for all people.”  The festival is held in February of each year, and is open to church choirs on an annual registration basis.

Will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on February 12, 2012 at 7p.m.  More than 1000 musicians will join voices and instruments in a wide variety of worship expressions in an ecumenical event.  The service will be preceded by an interview with Cathedral tapestry artist, John Nava at 6:15p.m.
