ArtVentures - Master's Thesis Presentations
Friday, May 14, 2010, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
To venture is to explore–usually with great risk, with the potential to lose one's way or to come to new worlds. This year our masters students have undertaken the risk of creative exploration, and through this process, they have walked to the edge and explored unmapped territories of life, God and the self. Now that their adventures are coming to a close, they are returning to us to share what they've found.
ArtVentures is a celebration of these masters thesis projects, and for many of the students, it is the first time these works have been presented in public. Join us as we celebrate their journeys through music, film, painting, and dance. And by celebrating what they've done, we may just find new spiritual topographies ourselves.
Hors d'œuvre and drinks will be served. Join us, celebrate with us.

Jubilate! An Ancient-Future Concert Mass
Composed and conducted by
Edwin M. Willmington
Director, Fred Bock Institute of Music
The Mass utiliizes many of the common texts of the ancient mass and interprets them with sounds that are both traditional and modern. The Mass, set to music for church and concert purposes, includes styles converging east to west, past to present and choral to rock.
