A pastor’s kid growing up in a musical family, the intersection of music and church is where Christine feels most at home. Called to worship ministry in 2004 with the sudden passing of her father, she went from completing a Bachelor of Music in classical voice from the University of Toronto, to pursuing a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Worship and Music Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. At Fuller, she was a Chapel intern, and the recipient of the prestigious Brehm scholarship that awards students who show exceptional promise to be a leader in church, academic, missions or arts related vocations. Upon graduating in Dec ’10, she was hired as the Worship Arts Pastor at Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles where her musical sensitivity, creative energy and pastoral heart are being used to the full. She believes that a worship leader is first and foremost a worshipper, singing and playing from an ever-deepening well of collisions with God’s love. Christine is happily married to her seminary sweetheart, Darin, with whom she has a fluffy, white Maltese named Mr. Sprinkles.
