Purple State of Mind Honored at Film Festival
Recently Craig Detweiler screened his documentary Purple State of Mind at the Tallahassee Film Festival, in Florida's capital city. Over eighty films were shown at this festival and Purple State of Mind was a clear stand-out winning the Audience Choice Award!
Craig and his Purple partner, John Marks, followed this screening with a town hall meeting that included over 150 members of the Tallahassee community including local leaders, state senators, legislators, and lobbyists. As Craig puts it, they saw the Purple State of Mind film and project as a model for building bridges that "they are desperately seeking in Flordida's capital city."
Craig and John wrapped up their time in Tallahassee with a talk at St. John's Episcopal Church on faith and film, giving local parishioners a terrific taste of what we do here at the Brehm Center. All told, it was quite a busy week for Craig.
Here's an article from the Tallahassee Democrat on Craig, John, and Purple State of Mind film screening for further reading.
