As you prepare for you travels to and from Orvieto, Italy, we hope this page can serve as a helpful resource for some of your travel needs. 

It is highly recommended that you fly into Rome on your way to Orvieto. Detailed directions on how to get from the Rome Airport to the front door of the monastery are located here

You will need to take a train from Rome to Orvieto and the website for Italy's official rail system will give you a good idea of the length of the trip as well as the frequency of trains going to Orvieto. 

Some of you may want to read up on the history of Orvieto. This wikipedia page is a great place to begin. It contains links to many other sites with helpful information on Orvieto.

The International Services Office (ISO) of Fuller Theological Seminary has created Travel Release forms for you to read and submit. Here is a link to a PDF version of the release form and we have hard copies available at the Brehm Center. You must read through the Travel Release documentation, sign and date it, and submit it to ISO by Friday, June 6.

In anticipation of common questions regarding Orvieto, we have put together this FAQ page. It has an overview of important information concerning Orvieto, San Paolo Monastery, the courses, and other information relevant to the trip.

As we approach the dates of the program, we advise you to keep track of the value of the US dollar against the Euro so that you can better budget for the trip. Here's a website that will give you the most current conversion rate from US dollar to Euro.

Here is a list of alternative housing in Orvieto. Note that some of the lodgings are in the town below known as Orvieto Scalo. This is the town where the train station is.
